I am having a little bit of trouble coming up with a boys name for my baby, what should I do?

My boyfriend is arguing with me over the baby's name. I want to name the baby after my dad and my step dad who passed away two years ago. The name I have picked out, which everyone in my family, including my friends, love is Samuel Connor Grady Napier. I mean come on the baby is getting his last name at least I should get to name it without him fussing over it right???? What should I do????

I am having a little bit of trouble coming up with a boys name for my baby, what should I do?
pick one of your dads, as first name, his dads name as middle name,

the traditional way is first son gets paternal grandfathers first name, maternal grandfather middle name....

second son gets any name of choice....

Reply:You need to compromise. You can't have it all your way and the only way. I agree iwth your boyfriend about the double names. Pick the one most sentimental to you - either your father or your step father and pick that as either the middle OR first name - not both for both. You will probably have more kids and can use the other name then. Be reasonable.
Reply:whoe.... pick something easy.

don't give him a 4 or 5 foot long name. he won't be able to write it in school

samuel conner napier is beautiful.

whats he fussing about? i love it.

What is a good name for a dwarf hamster that is a boys and girls name?
hammy or jellicle.
Reply:Thanks for the points, Hammy is a good choice, most of the hamsters I had as a child were called Hammy. One we named King Hammy because he ruled over all. Report Abuse

Reply:I added Jellicle because of the poem "Jellicle Cats" by TS Elliot.

Jellicle Cats are black and white,

Jellicle Cats are rather small;

Jellicle Cats are merry and bright,

And pleasant to hear when they caterwaul.

But your hamster might not appreciate being named after a cat. ;-) Report Abuse

Reply:How about Jamie? or Oreo?
Reply:I can't really think of a name, but I just wanted to know why it had to be a girl AND boy name. Do you not know the sex of your hamster? The pet store or breeder you got it from NEEDS to know whether it's a boy or a girl! If not, they can't separate boys from the girls at 4 weeks of age, and the females may be pregnant! The males will fight with each other, too. Go back to the store and demand that they tell you what you bought! Then check for yourself: the boys will have 2 small bumps under the tail.
Reply:Don't know about boy and girls name but I like JD.
Reply:Jesse %26gt; Bobo

Just wondering as it`s my sons name and people either love it or hate it,thanx.

What do you think of the boys name Kai?
I like it Nati.... very nice name...

Reply:I love the name Kai.
Reply:very nice mine is same
Reply:How do you prononuce it?

Like Kay or Kiy?

It looks great though, I might change my name....
Reply:my daughter wanted to call her baby that. every second person is called that now so she went off it.
Reply:It reminds me of that skit that Tracy Ullman did on her show - she was an English woman named Kay, but she pronounced it Kai.

Outside of that, I don't have a strong feeling about it. I lean toward not liking the harsh sound it makes, though.
Reply:Daft but expect he will change it when he gets older. Just imagine someone says "What is your name" He says "Kai" and they will invariably say "What!" Just a nuisance.
Reply:I love it! My nephew is called Kai. In Japan it also means ocean. If my nephew didn't have that name I would call a boy Kai.
Reply:I really like it, has it got a meaning? im trying to think of boys names at the mo, i also like Tai!

Does Sage sound more like a boys name or girls?

I have heard it more for a boys name. Too me it doesn't sound too masculine. What do you think? Thanks!

Does Sage sound more like a boys name or girls?
I own a daycare center and I have had a girl named Sage and also a boy named Sage. It's just one of those gender neutral names that great with both genders. It's not too masculine or too feminine.
Reply:well their are too options

for a boy i hear it more and the ones I have met are all great thinkers and are very friendly/popular

for a girl I see it as kind of masculine but not too masculine, kind of tomboyish. Sort of like the Name Spencer on a girl.

If you name a baby boy sage you should make it's middle name Wyatt
Reply:I Would Say Girl To Because It's Not To Masculine But It Could Be A Sensitive Guy.

I Think It Could Be Either.I Would Name A Guy That Though Because,It Gives Me A Feeling Of Hope,And You Could Just Flat Out Name A Girl Hope.
Reply:I automatically thought a girl name.

But then I thought and read some of the other answers, and they're right. It's kind of unisex, for both boys and girls.

But it does strike me as more girly.

:)
Reply:Sage is definitely a girl name- and a lovely one at that. Nothing strong, masculine or handsome about it.

♠ Qὑἔἔח
Reply:I honestly don't care for it, It's something to put on food, and it's also a color. Makes no sense as a name to me! And it has a boy feel....
Reply:I think Sage sounds more like a girls name. It really doesn't sound that masculine. I love that name for a girl; I'd never name a boy Sage.
Reply:Hmmm..... I immediately assumed girl, but after thinking about it, I too have heard it used primarily on boys. It just seems girly to me though.
Reply:OMG! It is defiantly a girls name. Not a boys! Never! I dont really like it either.
Reply:Boys name. I knew a boy with that name back in kindergarten.

Answer mine?

http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;...
Reply:I associate it more with a boy. It makes me think of Sage Stallone, Sylvester Stallone's son.
Reply:I've only heard of girls named Sage. I'm not a big fan of it.
Reply:Girl... I know a young lady by that name...I don't know any guys by that name.
Reply:I think of it as a boy name because the only person I ever knew with the name is a boy.
Reply:its more like a boys name to me but kind of a girly-boy if you get my drift? :).
Reply:First thought was girl. But really either way, the name is different but nice in my opinion.
Reply:My best friend's name is Sage! I love it! She is a girl btw :)
Reply:Sage sounds like a girl name to me
Reply:Sage is a girl's name

Reply:Omg i love the name. if we every have a son that will be his name. when i was pregnant with my lil girl i wanted to name her riley but everyone was telling me it was a boy name so when we have our son Riley will be his name.. I LOVE THE NAME GO FOR IT.
Reply:HAHA! I Was Planning That If I Have A Boy, Id Probably Call It Ashton Or Riley, NICE! =] So.. Of Course I Like It.
Reply:I think its originally a boys name so i think you are safe. even if it was girls, dont worry because so many girls have boy names it doesnt matter anymore.
Reply:Riley is my favourite boys name

and David really goes well with it.

Riley David is really nice.

xx
Reply:i love riley...just not david...
Reply:I think of Riley as more of a girl's name; I went to school with a girl named Riley and my aunt just had a baby girl and named her Riley. The only boy named Riley I know is my boyfriend's mom's dog.
Reply:I want to say yes for you and "go for it," but honestly, it sounds more like a girl's name. I'd have to say continue to look at other boy's names. You'll find the right one!!
Reply:I'm not a fan of unisex names and Riley is unisex. I love David though.

I need help figuring out a boys name and maybe a girls?

so i think ive pretty much decided om Emmaleigh Isabella for a girl but more suggestions would be great. I just cant decide on a boys name. I like Noah and Liam but those names are becoming more common and i really like unique names so..... can you help me

I need help figuring out a boys name and maybe a girls?
I really prefer Emilee or Emily. I think Emmaleigh is a bit exaggerated with the spelling, and looks out of place with Isabella when its spelled like that.

I like Noah and Liam as well. I don't think they're too too common. What about Zane or Brennan?
Reply:why of course I can offer my assistance. I Love unique names that aren't so common. is Emmaleigh pronounced like its counterpart (emily)? I like it even though it a little long for such a small baby. lol that is where I have problems. Anywho, for a guys name... I like the two options so far but yes they are becoming popular now a days. I love the boy's name Ethan or Ian but they too have become popular.

Aiden (Ay den) is a cute name but sounds a little girlish to me i guess. but it a nice name.

Arden

Caiden (Cade for short which is so cute)

Cruz (is kind of a cute name) pronounced CrUz (the u is a long u so kinda like crooz)

Dustin (call him Dusty for short)

Gavyn (Gavin)

i know lots of boys named Hunter

Jadin is nice though I typically like it for a girls name but it can be either.

well here are some to choose from. Hope you find it helpful if not here is a handy site. good luck!

I love the middle name Blaine or Blake but the middle name would be dependant on maybe the father or grandfather's names.
Reply:Here are some awesome UNIQUE names. Well their not REALLY unique, but they're not on the top 20 SSA list. I'll give SSA numbers too.

Jackson- Number 33

Bryce- Number 111

River- Number 561

Elliot- Number 359

Cooper- Number 95

Kieran- Number 571

Emmett- Number 576

GOOD luck!
Reply:I love the way Emmaleigh sounds. Very soft and feminine, despite being a little long. Good choice on that one! What about Elijah or Isaiah for a boy: strong, known but not overused names. I have these two AND your two on my list so... =)

Good luck with it!
Reply:It should be Emma Leigh Isabella. Emmaleigh is far to long. I like the name Liam it is lovely who cares if it is common.

you could always have:

Reply:I LOVE your boys names! Walker, Breven, Wyatt, Ryder, Eamon (very Irish, I love it), Callum, Parker

Me and my Husband CAN'T decide on a boys name for our unborn son. Help! ?

I like Jackson, Gavin or Christian. He's afraid they will call him Jack or Chris. The ONLY name he likes is Aiden but I have friends with kids that name. Beides I think it's to common.

Me and my Husband CAN'T decide on a boys name for our unborn son. Help! ?
How about:

Hunter or Roman?

I have two girfriends whom named their sons these names.
Reply:well then why dont you combined the two- like mary kate or like my name laura-kim

maybe you can even put on name as a middle name instead
Reply:You could spell it "Jaxon," which could help eliminate the nickname of Jack... but then it could be "Jax." Christian will definitely become Chris. Perhaps something else will hit you when he's born - when you meet him, and you could use Aiden for a middle name! Congrats.
Reply:Gavin Jackson

Maverick Aiden

James Oliver

Oliver Neal

Jason Maverick

If your husband likes Aiden maybe use it as a middle name and you decide on the first name.
Reply:i like the name Gavin Michael or Michael Xavier
Reply:jackson is a really intresting name call it jackson
Reply:Aiden is a little too common. I absolutely love the name Jackson and if you don't nick name him Jack, no one else will. Growing up he may have a few people call him Jack here and there but he'll just correct them and said he prefers Jackson. I have a guy friend named Michael and he will not go by Mike and hardly no one calls him Mike. :) Good luck!

Reply:I am glad you are not going with Aiden - It seems every newborn has the name Aiden, or rhymes with it (including girls).

Jaxon is becoming really "trendy" . I like Jackson a lot better than that though. Gavin is very cute, and theres no obvious nickname for it. What about Gavin Aiden? (its not a great combo, but its a good compromise). I also like Wesley, and Kellen.
Reply:I know a Jackson and we call him Jac for short. Its fine. Its nice. Go for it.

[oh and congratulations] x
Reply:im not a fan of jackson. but i like gavin and christian a lot.

I really love the name Drake. my friend has that name and its totally not common in my school

lots of luck :)
Reply:He doesn't like Gavin either??
Reply:I like your choices however I also like Noah or Dakota
Reply:I love Jackson and Christian. Don't worry about nicknames cropping up. My son is Patrick and we were afraid people would call him Pat. He just tells people his name is Patrick and so do we. He is nine years old now and has never been called Pat. I agree about Aiden. I also love the name Hunter for a boy. Congratulations on your upcoming event and I hope you have a healthy happy boy no matter what you decide to name him.
Reply:I would say Jackson Aiden

or Aiden Jackson

So you both give and take

I Like Jackson Better

but You have to figure

that out

I like Jackson
Reply:My husbands name is Christian and everyone calls him Christian. I have only heard one person refer to him as Chris. If you don't want a nickname, introduce the baby as his full name and correct anyone who tries to use a nickname. All my husbands cousins are also called by their full names.
Reply:I love the name Gavin. I think Gavin Christian is nice.
Reply:Henry?

X
Reply:I LOVE Christian. It's a wonderful name and i personally think you should name him that. If you only ever introduce him as christian and he doesn't call himself anything but christian, it shouldn't even be a problem.
Reply:all of those names are common, i like nicholas alot!!!!! like i mean alot.
Reply:How about Jayden.. it kinda sounds like Aiden
Reply:I love Christian Neil.

First name: Christian

Middle name: Neil

Love it.

I also like Donny Jacob.
Reply:I think Gavin is a great name. You could always use Aiden for the middle name. It sounds like he likes that can't be shortened.

How about Seth, Dane, Joel, Carter or Carson?
Reply:I agree with you on Aiden (so tired of that name). You should go to nymbler.com and add the names you both like and it will generate a new list for you of similar names.

Jaxon (Jax)

Love Gavin, and Triston

What is a good middle name for the boys name Christian?

I particularly LOVE this name but i cant find a middle name to go with it......PLEASE HELP!!!!!

What is a good middle name for the boys name Christian?
I think it sounds best paired with a single syllable middle name, like Christian Chase, Christian Penn, Christian Dale. I also like a couple of traditional MN's that are two syllables. Christian Michael and Christian David.
Reply:What was your Grandpa's names or your Dad's or your husband's fathers name? What about his best friend? Middle names are the chance to put a name in of someone you love to honor them. Christian Vernon, Christian James, Christian Kenneth or Christian Donald would have covered people in our family who we'd love to remember; and actually they all sound good. I'm sure you can think of someone to honor whose name will be perfect there.

Can this be a nickname for this boys name?

Can Milo be a nickname for Michael? i know that Mick, Mickey, Mike, Mikey can be but what about Milo?

if so i like the name Michael (Milo) Joshua Khoury (Cory, its our last name)

is this a good name? and do you like the nickname?

Can this be a nickname for this boys name?
Milo is very cute!

I like it, its different and nicer!
Reply:i have never heard milo used for michael. but i have known a lot of milo's and you can make any nick name you want. i am called by my surname more than my first, my brother was called house for years and years much more than stevie and i call my little one monkey more than i call her madeline. you don't only choose the name but you can start their nick name as well.
Reply:I think you can use it, but Milo I think is a short form of some eastern european names. It's 2008 you can use it, no one is going to make a big deal out of it anyway.
Reply:yes, really anything can be a nickname. it doesn't matter if it has n/e thing to do w/ the name. maybe a nickname can be based on something they do, or like, or their personality. and btw, i like the name!!
Reply:It can if you want it to be...Milo is a name (I have a cousin whose name is Milo and it isn't short for anything)...use it if you want to, no one can stop you
Reply:no because in the other nicknames you posted they all have somewhat of the main root of the name like mik-ey or mick bt it would be creative to have the nickname be milo
Reply:No. Milo is not a nickname for that, because there is no "O" in Micheal.
Reply:it sound like something you would hear out of germany but i gues milo it an alrigith nickname it also reminds me of light i dont know why.
Reply:Why not just name him Milo? I don't see where you'd get Milo from Michael. I hate when people name the kid one thing and call him by something different than the first name.
Reply:I like Milo Joshua Khoury... or Joshua Milo Khoury.
Reply:if it's pronounced Mee-lo then i hate it. if it's pronounced Mill-o i hate it even more.

Which for a boys name, Tate Christian or Taye Christian?

I LOVE tate christian. It sounds really strong and stable.

Which for a boys name, Tate Christian or Taye Christian?
Tate
Reply:Tate Christian. To me both Taye or Tay are a bit feminine sounding and also sort of nick-namey. Like shortened of Taylor for example.
Reply:i like christian on its own or first
Reply:Taye Christian. I think it sounds really nice. Tate sounds like something I would name a cooked carrot .
Reply:Definitely Tate Christian. Tate is strong whereas Taye is bland and insubstantial in comparison. Tate Christian is very handsome
Reply:I like Tate Christian better
Reply:Taye! wow i love that name! not hears of before? been looking for a t name so may even pinch it myself! hehe well u know my favorite!x

Reply:Tate Christian
Reply:I know a girl named Tay, so I wouldn't say that. I like the name Tate better anyhow, so I say go with Tate Christian.

Cool name.

So, it dsn't sound girly to me.

Tate is cool too!! : )

Chiristian is my nephews name:

So I suggest:

Christian Tate

Christian Taye

This sounds much better, and Tate it a great name, but Taye sounds like a french name, and thus I love it!!

Good Luck!!
Reply:Tate Christian...

Taye seems like a more girly name...(No offence)
Reply:Tate Christian.

Taye does sound feminine and without they "e" Tay looks less girly, but still sounds it.

but Tatum is gaining popularity for girls, so Tate almost seems girly to me as well. (rhyming with Kate doesn't help either)

Is Ray too much of a boys name?

I mean to add on to another name. Like Emma-Ray or Alicia-Ray or would it feminise it more if it was Raye?

Is Ray too much of a boys name?
I think Emma-Ray is adorable and emma-raye would be cuter!!!
Reply:To be honest, I don't like it on either girl or boy. It sounds really trashy to me, but that's just personal opinion.

For a girl, I like May better - Emma-May or Alicia-May would be really pretty.

If you still love it enough, Ray would still be fine for a girl, though spelling it Rae would feminize it the most probably.
Reply:if i would've had a girl she would've been Aja RaeAnn and my son's name is Jalen Ray so i believe it can be either and if you like it that's all that matters she's your baby : )
Reply:I don't think it is too much a boys name. My name is Kyra and my middle name is Ray but originally it was going to be Kyra-Ray. You could also spell ir Rai
Reply:If you hyphenate it with something soft and add an "E" to the end it looks and sounds more feminine.

Kelsey-Raye

Jamie-Raye

Lily-Raye

Lydia-Raye

Kristin-Raye

Kendra-Raye

Lyla-Raye

Good luck :)
Reply:i don't think it is too much of a boy's name. my nephew's name is cayden ray and my friend's daughter's is kayleen rae. i personally like to see this name spelled rae for a girl.
Reply:When I got my second son, I prayed for a name which could mean a blessing to us.Just before I gave birth , i had this dream telling me that my choice of the name RAY means KING.
Reply:Emma-Ray is really cute, I think just RAY sounds too much like a boys name, if you add another name to it, people will end up saying ray but it will be more femanine that way I think.
Reply:Raymond...Ray

Raelene...Rae

Alicia Rae is nice
Reply:I think Ray is a good middle name for a girl. Yeah adding an e to the end would probably make it look more girly written down.
Reply:i knew a girl called Connie-Rae.

maybe Rae would be more feminine, i dont think the name Ray sounds to masculine anyway.

good luck! x
Reply:rae makes it much more feminine

drop the hyphened first name its too much.

if your american do u realise that most other countries hink its silly
Reply:I love Rae as a middle name.

Abbey Rae

Sophie Rae

Josie Rae

Samantha Rae

Olivia Rae

Reply:Ray on it's own is a bit too boy-like..

I have a friend called Raelene, and we call her Rae as a nickname..

hope this helps :)
Reply:I knew a girl who spelt hers Rae.
Reply:Rhea is another way of spelling "Ray".
Reply:I think Emma Rae it's a beautiful name. I like this spelling.
Reply:Ray does sound like guys name. Why not Raine, and use Ray as a nickname?
Reply:I used Rae for my 3rd daughters middle name. It looked more girly to me.
Reply:I think it sounds great maybe spelt Rae will sound more like a girls name.

=]
Reply:try emma-recce or some thing like that i think ray is to bold.x
Reply:ray is completely for boysz............riya can be gud
Reply:Not if you spell it Rae
Reply:My middle name is Rae. Spelling it "Ray" seems more masculine to me.
Reply:yes, but more of a Rae would feminize it

Why do we name our tropical storms names that are boys or girls names, why not just put a number to it?

My friend prayed to his father in heaven for a sign and God brought down a guardian angel in the name of Barry, which was his brother passed away. Now this morning, Florida is about to be hit with a tropical storm named Barry, what a coincident.

Why do we name our tropical storms names that are boys or girls names, why not just put a number to it?
I believe they use names instead of numbers because names are easier to remember.
Reply:Experience shows that the use of short, distinctive given names in written as well as spoken communications is quicker and less subject to error than the older more cumbersome latitude-longitude identification methods. These advantages are specially important in exchanging detailed storm information between hundreds of widely scattered stations, coastal bases, and ships at sea.

The use of easily remembered names greatly reduces confusion when two or more tropical storms occur at the same time. For example, one hurricane can be moving slowly westward in the Gulf of Mexico , while at exactly the same time another hurricane can be moving rapidly Northward along the Atlantic coast. In the past, confusion and false rumors have arisen when storm advisories broadcast from radio station were mistaken for warning concerning an entirely different storm located hundreds of miles away.
Reply:aw thats sad, im sorry...im not sure why but i pray for everyones safety! %26lt;3
Reply:it's just easier?

~grace hallie
Reply:Names are nuch easier for the general public to remember. I think it also gives the storm and identity if it has a name.

Maybe the storm's name is a sign for your friend from his father. If I were your friend I would take it as a sign and smile.
Reply:Wow are you guys from Florida? It may be luck, looking over Florida residents. Who knows but pray for Florida!!!

And with numbering the storms. Wouldn't you be terrified after all these years with as many storms as they've had.. would you be terrified to see Hurricane 1,000 or at least Hurricane 666 LOL.. I just don't think I could deal with it, almost thinking like what is wrong with the world to have so many right?

Well good luck and I'm sorry his brother passed and maybe it is a coincedence! a good thing..?
Reply:They used to do that but it became too confusing, particularly when there were multiple storms at the same time.
Reply:its harder that way
Reply:well like any baby storms are a big thing to every1. It could be an event which killed you brother, sister, anyone including you. Now if someone died close to you from a hurricane or storm and your friend asked how he/she died would you like to say storm number 33 killed or by a important remembered name like hurricane Katerina? Also people will get tired from saying #48 #49 #50 it would be like the storms have no meaning anymore. Although no one close to you might have died from a storm other peoples loved ones have and they want to remember the incident which they died in.
Reply:They should named a hurricane after me. Hurricane Merrick! That would be sweet!
Reply:Good question. ask those that do it
Reply:That is so cool.........

Is samson a good name for a samoyed puppy if not give me some boys name?

Personally.. I think its a very over-used and common name for a Samoyed... as are Blizzard, Snowy, Frosty, Nikita (Nicki) and a whole bunch of other weather names.

Spend some time with the pup.. almost anything would be better. I've yet to meet a Samoyed named "Fred".

Edit: There are tons of "Czar"s and "Tsar"s

Is samson a good name for a samoyed puppy if not give me some boys name?
Samson is a great name unless you want to go with smiley since sammys always look like they are smiling. I had a sammy and we named him bear, but that's pretty common name.
Reply:I like it. For another option, how about "Zsar" (pronounced zah-r). It's Russian for "king". I think that's perfect for such a noble looking Russian dog.
Reply:Sampson is a very cool name for a samoyed.

Brody

Bullet

Hogan

Jeb

Romeo

Reply:Sam would be just as good, dogs only hear the first syllable really so anything after Sam he won't hear.
Reply:allysoncat21, I wish I had a a samoyed.
Reply:Samson is cute. Go with that one.
Reply:I'd use "Sampson", but it's a great name.

What are some good fantasy names for a story i need a boys name that is the main character that is good and i?

need one that is a girl and shes a pixi and an evil villans name

What are some good fantasy names for a story i need a boys name that is the main character that is good and i?
I am a fantasy writer as well. :] Without knowing your characters well, it's difficult for people to pick names for you, but there are some good sites to can visit:

http://behindthename.com/ - Check the mythological names, as well as any names from the British Isles, as it lists several names used in the past that might sound "fantasyish".

Also take a look at random generators for endless fun:

http://nine.frenchboys.net/

http://www.rinkworks.com/namegen/

http://www.seventhsanctum.com/gens/namer... (popular site, but I've never come up with anything particularly useful using this...)

http://ebon.pyorre.net/ - Everchanging Book of Names. You have to download it, but it's very very useful.
Reply:Cleophus(boy)

Devilene (girl)
Reply:Felix for main boy, Trixie for the pixi, and Lionel for the evil villan
Reply:For the boy, how about something with an "S"? Samuel, Seth, something like that, with an old-world farmboy sort of feel.

For the girl, something light and airy to go with the pixie theme- maybe Abigail (Abby for short?), Jess, Tara, something similar.

And you don't describe the villain much- is it a man or woman? Creature? But how about a unisex, cool name like Puyna, Hycisth, Rund . . . a little weird like that?
Reply:Jacob, Adam, Benjamin, Jimmy, Jessy, Jude, Henry,

Shira, Sasha, Rudy, Agatha, Samantha, Veronica, Harriett, Henrietta
Reply:Noah , for the main character, the pixie Aurora and the evil villian Agatha for a women and Neville for a man
Reply:Tommy Tucker

Leyla or Lily

Becker for the evil one
Reply:boy: matt, brad

girl: belle, alison, florence/flora
Reply:this might be dumb but Liam for the boy and Cecielia or Zoey for the pixi and im not good with evil villians srry
Reply:Boy - William Clement or Simon Gregor

pixie - Daisy or Grace or Florance or Glory

Villain - Draydon or Karlog or Jorzaan or Mardalon or Tregor or Finshard or Jambogaar any other name with "r" and "n" in it.

Which two boys name do you prefer?

1.) Bennett Harper and Heath Whitney

OR

2.) Abram Bennett and Sutton Heath

Which two boys name do you prefer?
1st - Bennett Harper and Heath Whitney -- I really love the name Heath, but I feel that Whitney has become very, and I wouldn't use for a boy. Heath Sutton and Heath Sullivan work! Bennett isn't bad. He could be called Ben. :-)

2nd - Sutton Heath and Abram Bennett -- I'm not crazy about either name. I guess I like Sutton better than Abram, but I just can't picture someone with it as their name. It's better than Sullivan as well, I guess. I just don't like any of these names. Sorry.

suggestions:

Jonah, Isaac, Harrison, Everett, Gabriel, Silas, Owen, Duncan, Anderson, Wyatt, Graham, Leonardo, Nathaniel, Victor, Ian, Elliot, Theo, Rowan, Holden, Adam, Shamus, Dexter, Henri, Sebastian, Eugene, Grier
Reply:This is a tough choice. I think I like Bennett Harper and Heath Whitney the best as a combination. They both have literary first names (that are very masculine) and softer-sounding middles, so they coordinate well. The names sound both modern and classic.

However, my favorite name from the list is probably Abram Bennett, but I'm not crazy about either Sutton Heath or Sullivan Heath. Sutton Heath makes me think of the Sutton Hoo ship buriel (too much Anglo-Saxon history in college, I guess):

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sutton_Hoo

Sullivan Heath isn't bad, but it just doens't "wow" me.

Hope this helps!
Reply:Bennet sounds like a dog, Heath like a candy bar, abaham like an old man, Sutton like a highschool name, Sullivan like a blue monster. No offence but none of these names are pleasent. Dont let you boys grow up being calledd Sutton or Heath or even Bennett.. oh god.

Congrats though.
Reply:1.) Bennett Harper and Heath Whitney- Both names have girls middle names how about Bennett Kingston, and Heath William. My Fave!

OR

2.) Abram Bennett and Sutton Heath- nah!

Sutton Heath or Sullivan "Sully" Heath- Sutton is cute. But I know 2 people with the last name Sullivan.
Reply:I really like all your name's, they are all classic %26amp; strong yet not overly common :)

I love Bennett Harper %26amp; Sullivan Heath.

As I've said before I love Bennett Connor %26amp; Harper Jude, but I do like Bennett Harper, it sounds great :)
Reply:Bennett Harper %26amp; Heath Sullivan : D

Ok if I'd choose out of the options you've given I'll go for: Bennett Harper %26amp; Heath Whitney.
Reply:1st choice - Bennett Harper and Heath Sutton

2nd choice - Bennett Harper and Heath Whitney
Reply:abram bennett is cute. i like heath a lot, but not sutton or whitney.

harper is typically a girl's name. sully is cute.
Reply:Well I can't say I like any of them... but If I had to choose I would mix and match and say

What is a good boys name.I will soon be giving birth ?

I am a single mother and wonder if I should name him after his father. We dont date by the way.

What is a good boys name.I will soon be giving birth ?
Name him after your father if he was a good man,or name it after me if he was not. That would be "Brad"
Reply:I have two sons and they both have different dads. Both have their dads middle names as middle names. I don't like Jr's or the 3rd's just think that children need their own Identity. My 24 year old's name is Christopher Evans and my 11 year old is Ryan Charles. If he is going to be active in your sons life then you can also name him after him whether it be the first name as a middle name or the middle name as a first name. Just a bit of advice though. Not sure if you were going to give the baby the daddys last name but I didn't. I ended up raising him myself after 2 years and was happy that we had the same last name.
Reply:What about Archie :) I heard it on telly tonight and will be adding it to my list... Don't know what the father is called so couldn't tell you if it's a good name or not, but either way wait until you have looked him in the eye, then you will know for sure:)
Reply:I think you should name the baby what you want to name him. If you get along with the father and have a good friendship now and know that he will play an active part in your childs life then go for it. Its totally up to you =)
Reply:I don't agree with the whole ' the child should be named after a relative - it's good for them to have their own identity from the start, if you think different, how about using the fathers name as a middle name ???
Reply:I really like traditional names and favour James Joseph or Richard
Reply:jayden or Parker.

What is YOUR baby boys name?

When I ask for ideas I get many really great names but I honestly want something different from what is used alot. So I figured If i ask what ur babys name is, then I could see what is used alot and stay away from the popular. Thank u all for ur ideas.

What is YOUR baby boys name?
Your sibset is awesome, I love the name Stormie, it's unique but has so much personality. I'm having a son in the spring, and the names we are talking about are Gage or Chase. I like uncommon names too. He will join Callista and Sienna. I have family/friends in there early to late 20's with babies/toddlers and here are some of their sibsets...

Hunter, Cassidy, and Gage

Riley (boy), Griffin, and Tanner

Aubrey and Kenna

Only child Noah

Madison, Paige, and Hannah

Dillet and baby Theodora (nn Teddy)

Daisy, Isabella, and Dahlia

Josh and Ella

only child Riley (boy)

Azan or Antares

I think it's unique but easy to spell.

Tyler Jospeh (13)

Kyle Hunter(11)

Gavin Michael(10)

Our Tyler ws going to be called Corey, but the minute I saw him I said he doesn't look like a Corey, my doctor teased what does a Corey look like? I said I don't know but that is not him. I immediately said Tyler, which wasn't even on our list!
Reply:Your "unusual" translates into future teasing and cruelty for your child.

Don't throw the alphabet at the wall and see what stuck.

I know, I've been there...and I was picked on EVERYDAY. If you MUST do "unusual" put it in the middle where it can be hidden.

Boys name to go with difficult surname?

Hi our surname is Guarrera (gua-rare-ra) we need a boys name for our bub due in 5 weeks.

I feel like it should be a short, strong, easy the say and spell name. Any ideas?

Boys name to go with difficult surname?
Ben Guarrera

Dan Guarrera

Jack Guarrera

Sam Guarrera
Reply:I love the suggestions of Luke (or Lukas) and Max. Max especially is really strong for a short, three letter name and even though a lot of guys have it as a nickname for Maxwell or whatever, it stands really well on its own. Luke Guarrera would sound awesome as well, or maybe Lee Guarrera.

Alexander Guarrera sounds like it could work too, even though Alexander is a mad long name lol. But Alex is an awesome, strong nickname that always sounds good.

Other suggestions: Sam (for Samuel), Nate (on its own or short for Nathan / Nathaniel), Drake (one of my favorites), Kent, Jack, Owen, Milo, and Bruno or Hugo.

Good luck and congrats!!

PS I also love Seth, Brody and James, which I've just seen other people suggest and are names I forgot to mention that I love as well lol.

Is Riley more of a boys name or a girls name in England ?

I like the name Riley for a boy but people keep telling me its a girls name. Do you think of a boy or girl when you hear this name ?

Thanks x

Is Riley more of a boys name or a girls name in England ?
i think its a really nice name for a girl but i dont see any problem in calling a boy Riley. its a great name for either.

hope this helps (:
Reply:I have an 8 year old son named Riley. The origin of the name Riley is Gaelic and means "Courageous" or "Brave". While there have been many women who would fit that description I would guess that it's a quality that most would associate with their sons rather than their daughters.

The name seems to be a small phenomenon in that I did not know a single Riley when my son was born. He is named after Reilly Childrens hospital in Indianapolis which, in turn, is named after James Whitcomb Reilly the state poet. In the last eight years it has become relatively common making the list of the top 100 names for both boys and girls.
Reply:In England, most people think of it as a surname first and foremost. It's not a common first name. I think of it as a boys name.

It's near the bottom of the 100 the most popular list for boys, but doesn't even appear on the girls list
Reply:

Hi,

I see Riley as more of a boy's name. I know many girls who called their baby boy Riley but not one girl is called Riley that I know of.

Riley is a unisex name anyhow so if you like it to name your son then choose it!

Lx
Reply:Its not that well known a name in the UK but any name which used to be a surname (which Riley is) would be more likely to be used on a boy. It sounds masculine to me.
Reply:I am not in England, but I believe Riley is a boy name over there. I am in the US where people have 'unisexed' the name into a girl name but I prefer it as a boy name.
Reply:I think Riley is more of a boys name! i no alot of boys names this, yet i think it is one of those names that could be either like charlie and ashley.
Reply:Boys.

It could be girls as well, but its more American to call a girl Riley.

My baby cousin is called Riley and he's a boy.

Personally, I think its a nice name either way.

x
Reply:Neither, it's more American than anything.

I'd say more masculine, as it's just a mispelling of the surname Reilly.
Reply:Where I live (western Canada) it's more common for boys. Although I'm not in England, hopefully this helps anyways!
Reply:Boy. One of my work colleagues has a son called Riley and they say they got the name from the 'boys' name section of the baby name book...
Reply:It used to be more of a boy name but it's turing into a girl name my mom liked that name for my baby brother but was worried about it being girlish named and ended naming him Rhett

Reply:I think of a boy when i hear of the name Riley. it can be used for both but i think its better as a boys name.
Reply:I would say a boys name because I live in Scotland and the only Riley's here are usually boys.
Reply:Definitely a boy.
Reply:I have heard of girls being called Riley but to me it sounds masculine. I think it is better suited to a boy.
Reply:Try Briley (Riley is associated with the girl name Kylie
Reply:In the majority of England, It's a boys name.

But it can be both, like the name Braidy or Lesley!
Reply:In the UK...boys,in the US...girls.

My son is called Reilly but I think of the spelling Riley as more feminine...LOVE the name though obviously!
Reply:I like it both on a boy or a girl.

like these names

Addison

Adrian

Alex

Andy

Arron

Ashton

Reply:from england AND i would say a boy.. like lesley i would say girl
Reply:It's unisex
Reply:I think it is more of a girls name because i know alot of Riley's and all of them are girls
Reply:Its not really used in England, i think it would be cute on either though.
Reply:I think of it more as a boys name, but I don't know what in England.
Reply:Neither. It艣 a made-up name that will seem horribly dated in a few years time.
Reply:I know boys with the name riley here in the UK
Reply:It's unisex, but more for a boy than for a girl

I don't like it anyway.
Reply:Boys, but i think it's awful for a Boy or Girl
Reply:I think Riley is a great name for a boy! x
Reply:boy's name DEFINITELY. i love it for a boy!
