My baby is due in June 2007. For a boys name I like Connor but what middle name to go with this?

Can anyone suggest a middle name to go with Connor as a first name. The baby's surname will be 'Henn'.

Reply:Why bother with a middle name unless it is going to be something meaningful??

If you really want to give him one, maybe use a family name (Father/granfather/deceased %26amp; cherished relative or friend)

My husbands middle name is his mothers maiden name as she belongs to a scottish clan and wanted to pass on the heritage, think this is a lovely idea for any maiden name...why shouldn't we get to pass our family name on!! :-)

Otherwise, Connor Henn is a great name on its own, good choice!

Looking for a boys name, first and middle?

We just found out last week that we are having another baby. We have our girls name picked out, but we aren't sure about the boys name. Any ideas? We like very unique names. Nothing trendy or traditional. Needs to go with the last name "Arguijo" and would be nice if it kinda went with our son's name "Atreyu". And no we did not name him after the band or the Never Ending Story. We just liked the name. Thanks.

What was the boys name from the false shooting treat at Rancho Minerva Middle School in Vista, CA?

The boy was only 13 years old. He is considered a juvenile, therefore the media cannot tell you his name. The best way to find out is if you know someone that goes to that school. However, the media will neve release his name because he is still a juvenile.

What was the boys name from the false shooting treat at Rancho Minerva Middle School in Vista, CA?
I go to Rancho Minerva and we kinda discussed the incident with teachers and the principal didnt release the persons name because the person is a minor. The person who did it said it was a prank and the person who did it is now in juevie

What do you think about this boys name?

I love the name Bear for a boy. Either as the first or middle name. Im not trying to find a "different" name or be cool, I just really like it. If it goes as a middle name I like Jackson or Sullivan as the first. Do you think this is to off the wall? Perhaps a different spelling? Im just looking for opinions, Im not set of course, we dont even know if we're having a boy yet, Im just tinkering around. Thanks so much!!

What do you think about this boys name?
well if you name a boy bear you should do it for a middle name because kids will probably tease them like fuzzy wuzzy was a BEAR fuzzy wuzzy had no hair
Reply:maybe as a middle name.. but never as a first.. sorry for saying this.. but u dont want kids to make fun of him..
Reply:i think that it would be a really good nick name
Reply:I would not go with any of those names. Imagine elementary school for a child whose name is bear. He would get made fun of everyday for the first 10-15 years of his life
Reply:I imagine he would be teased mercilessly at school, especially if he was fairly big or hairy. It's asking for trouble so if you must use it I'd tuck it away in the middle name spot

Both Jackson and Sullivan are fairly dull surnames but, as Sullivan sounds slimy to me, I'd go with Jackson. At least he has the handsome, sophisticated Jack to fall back on
Reply:I would definitely not have it as a first name... But Jackson Bear doesn't sound to bad, I mean it's only a middle name..
Reply:How about Behr just like the paint so the boy doesn't get made fun of....

I like Jackson Behr!!
Reply:I like it but you shoud definetly spell it different like Kat suggested in the post above.....

Reply:In my opinion? Boring. It's only slightly more original than "Hunter" and "Tyler".
Reply:Nope.

Pick another.

Try family names........your dad, grandfather, uncle, or brother. They are great inspiration.
Reply:It's original
Reply:I like it alot....
Reply:I have never heard that for a boy before...very nice...ideas on middle name?
Reply:I like it.....unique, fun, cute...but not tooo cutesy for a boy
Reply:Cove? Do you know what a cove is? Do you want your child to be known as"A small inlet "? This may make you mad, but I think people that give kids names that different need to be prepared for your child to get off the bus crying from time to time because kids are cruel and the effects from that can last a long time. Also, think about in adult life, the repercussions of having an odd name. Nobody wants their child to be one of 50 Cameron's in their school, but I also don't think you want to give your child an extra beast of burden or fodder for attack.Sorry ! You asked !
Reply:not bad, depends on the middle and last name though
Reply:I like it it's different!
Reply:no
Reply:It is different, but it could have it's drawbacks. First thing I thought of when I saw that was, "I live in a Cove." However it is kinda cute an if the middle and last name go great then go for it!!
Reply:I sorta like it. depends on middle and last names. But my brother just walked by and looked at it and he's like 'Oh my god. Cove? That's like so gay!'
Reply:its interesting, just don't make his middle name "nant"
Reply:I really like that.
Reply:I'm partial to T. Magee
Reply:I love different and unique names...I think that is awesome! Definately neat!
Reply:wow, cool name, ive never heard that one before its very different
Reply:ehh, Whats the last name?
Reply:Well its not one I would pick but its your baby so you should really decide.
Reply:Hmm, that's different...kinda cool.

What is a good boys first name to go with James Smith?

Smith its not the last name, but is actually similar...defiantly more unique. We want the second name to be James after his grandfather. What would be a good first name?

What is a good boys first name to go with James Smith?
Ian, Wesley, or Liam.
Reply:James is a great middle name, and I like the idea of using family names in the middle slot.

A lot of first names will work. Since James and Smith are both one syllable, you'll definitely want to choose something that's two or three syllables long. You'll probably want to avoid first names that start with J or end in S, unless you like alliterative names (which I usually don't).

Do you have any idea what style names you like for boys? Traditional names? Modern names? Uncommon names? Biblical names? Irish or Welsh names? Spanish or Italian names? If you can narrow it down to several styles, this website has excellent name lists, and it's one of the most reliable in terms of meaning and origin:

http://www.behindthename.com/

This website has a great search feature that will let you find other boys' names that start with "Col," for example, or other names that end in "by." (Collin, Colton, Ashby, and Toby are all similar in sound to Colby, and they have the added bonus of not being associated with cheese!)

http://babynamesworld.parentsconnect.com...

Here are some boys' names I like that I think sound good with James Smith. Some of them might not be your style, but maybe you'll find something you like:

Gideon James

Owen James

Milo James

Adrian James

Gabriel James

Micah James

Steven James

Davin James

Levi James

Oliver James

I know a couple of boys with the name Colby and not one of them has ever been teased or joked with about it being a cheese. However you are right.......it is a popular cheese. I like the name a lot too!!!! Would be really sad if his name was Colby jack =} On the other hand there is a very nice town in KS named Colby. You could also spell it with a K to set it apart a bit.

Irish people! How do you pronounce the boys name 'Farrin'?

Is it fa-rin or fair-un?

Irish people! How do you pronounce the boys name 'Farrin'?
there's no syllables, it's just said as a whole word "Fairn" you don't split the r's or put an emphasis on "in". Gaelic is weird that way lol!
Reply:fairn
Reply:my cousin is called that but its pronounced "fairn" :)
Reply:im not irish, but you say it like its spelled.
Reply:It will be pronounced differently from region to region, due to our ever changing dialect as you move up the country. It is pronounced Far-rin. When said quickly by an Irish person will often sound like Farn. Know lots of people with this name as a surname but never heard it as a first name. It's a lovely choice of name though.
Reply:are you sure it's irish ? i've looked everywhere in irish names and can not find it. it is used as a surname though and prounced far rin
Reply:Far-in
Reply:Don't think it's an Irish name -have never come across it here anyway. I'd say it'd be pronounced as spelled, or if said quickly just Farn.

English Origin - meaning Ox-herd, good looking servent

Gaelic Origin - meaning Descendant of Farachan

Afghan Origin meaning Glorified.

The correct pronouncation of Farrin is FAYR un.

What should I name my twin boys?

I don't want something that rhymes, starts with the same letter, or is too cutsie. I want something original but not too over the top. My other two children are Matias and Linkin just to give you an idea of what I am looking for. I am 26 weeks and we still have no clue. I am sick of calling my babies baby a and baby b!

Which boys name do you like the best?

Either Tyler or Shay.

Our surname is Cotton. A friend pointed out that if we shorten Tyler to Ty they might get the pee taken out of them because our surname is Cotton . What do you think?

We have Emily for a girl

Which boys name do you like the best?
Shay Cotton %26lt; cute
Reply:My boyfriend's brother's little boy is called Shay. Personally I prefer Tyler.
Reply:Tyler
Reply:I honestly am not too fond of either one of these names, but if I had to pick one I would definitely go with Tyler. I think Shay is a very feminine name. Good luck with your choice!
Reply:Tyler.

Shay Cotton sounds like some kind of farm work.....
Reply:Well I think shay cotton suits well because it sounds good.
Reply:I would go with Shay, since I know like 9 people named tyler who I can name off the top of my head

Good luck and congrats
Reply:I prefer the name Shay over the name Tyler mainly because its more difficult to shorten and people will have a harder timne playing around with it.
Reply:shay=] thats the name of this cool guy that would read me the cards:)
Reply:I think Shay is better
Reply:Very American names - I like them but we English can't choose names like that cause we'd be accused by others of trying too much to be American cool.

As above... Tyler Cotton.... well that sounds like a movie star, or a CEO of a major American Corporation. Great name and destined to go far imo.
Reply:I really like both of them, kind of depends on the middle name too though?

I'd say Shay, because its more unique.
Reply:I like Tyler better personally, but I don't know what to think when you put them together.
Reply:tyler, but i think jason sounds cool, but maybe that's just me
Reply:I would go with a letter that sounds "hard" like the k sound of cotton. Very catchy.

Such as Karl, Carl or Kyle. If the first name is shorter than the last, it balances out and flows better.
Reply:shay
Reply:i prefer shay.
Reply:Tyler is better than Shay. Because Shay is a girl's name. I have an Aunt named Shay. U don't want him to be teased being called Shy Shay, Shorty Man Shay, or Shay Shay. That can do alot to a child's self-esteem. U want them to grow up with a positive image about themselves.
Reply:Tyler is a cool name. Try James or Matthew. Tose are my future boys' names.
Reply:Tyler is better for a boy. cotton? wut u talking about? idk but Emily is a good name, but somehow my friends name is emily but people called her Lulu.. idk y but they do. anyways

tyler and emily are good names
Reply:id go Tyler... not Shay... Shaye is my middle name and i am a woman
Reply:Tyler Cotton is very cute!
Reply:I think Tyler Cotton has a better ring to it. Just my personal feelings. Have Fun.
Reply:Either definitly. If your looking for orginality.
Reply:Tyler is a nice name, but I love the names: Micahel and Matthew.
Reply:Tyler

Shay? what kind of a name is that?
Reply:Joel for a boy,

Lizl ( pronounced Leezell) for a girl

I laso like Daniel and Elouise
Reply:i like Cloud but that's not one of the choices. I like tyler. i think that Shay is a girls name...
Reply:shay sounds very girly. Tyler is fine.
Reply:i don't like either but if i had to pick i would pick Tyler
Reply:Tyler. It will be sweet.

Emily and Tyler.

Can someone help me think of a good boys name that goes with my girls?

I asked this question a few weeks ago but want some more input. Iam 6 months pregnant with my fourth child, and my husband and I have been trying to think about names. It's a boy, and since we have three girls we haven't even needed to think about boy names yet!

Our three girls are:

Emma Katherine, Adria Eleese, and Reese Elizabeth.

We want our son to have a name that mixes well with the girls' names.

Thanks so much :]

The name doesn't have to be trendy and we're trying to stay away from more traditional names. We've tried looking at lists and books, but it's so overwhelming.

Help Me Find A Boys Name With Celtic Origin?
Aiden- little fire
Reply:Well, real "Celtic" names are pretty out there. My grandfather's name was Celtic, Cathaoir. The sort of new trend to have Irish/Scottish style names yields more attractive names such as Bevan and Curran for boys. There's always Kieran, Angus, Mostyn, Lleyton, Alasdair, Cameron, and Morgan (boys not girls)

If you were really looking for the old fashioned Celtic names there were some REAL doosies in my family. Llwyd meas grey haired and Esugenius goes way way back and means well bred.

If you were to go to Scotland today you would find that one of the most common names for men is Malcolm. Robert is always quite popular as well.

Good luck with your search but for heaven's sake please don't name that baby Cathaoir!
Reply:Anwell Male Celtic The beloved, dear one.

Caradoc Male Celtic/Welsh Beloved or amiable.

We are expecting a baby and can't decide on a boys name, any ideas?

We want something traditional but not too common and we have decided on Robert for a middle and need a good first name that goes well with that.

We are expecting a baby and can't decide on a boys name, any ideas?
I took my husbands first name and put it with my Fathers first name, so I have a little of both. That way I didn't have a junior running around.

Is Heaven a boys name?

I know when you first say Heaven you think of like angels and that's kind of girly. But if you say a few times it stars sounding like Even. So it could grow on you after awhile.

Is Heaven a boys name?
The name Heaven is not for boys, may you should go for Evan or even Teven.
Reply:It is a cool name for a girl, but do you really want your son to have to deal with all those rude boys from grade school up thru high school who will turn making fun of his name into a torture session every day of his life? "Evan" is a much nicer name.
Reply:It's not a boys name... Evan is great for a boy, but not Heaven.

What if he wanted to be a professional someday? "Heaven" doesn't lend itself well to be taken seriously as someone with authority.

If you must, use it as a middle name.
Reply:Not really. If you like Even, go with Evan, Owen, or even Angel if you want a spiritual name. Little boys grow up to be adult men and it's hard to visualize a big manly guy named Heaven.
Reply:I promise, he will me made fun of all throughout his childhood.

I like the girl's suggestion, to just go with Evan, or she said Even, but I mean, that's just like (ee-vehn.)

I hope I helped a little?
Reply:NO! And I wouldn't name a girl that either... Good grief, do you want your child to be teased and tormented throughout life? Think of your child when selecting a name... and how they will feel about it when they are 10 or 15 or 20.
Reply:Heaven shouldn't be anyone's name, boy or girl.
Reply:Heaven is NOT a name of a person.
Reply:sure go ahead and name him that, although I feel bad for him already. Prepare for him to get picked on.

Reply:it is too girly for a boy..the kids would make fun...i work in an elementary school and can hear the jokes now...
Reply:No, I know a little girl named this and my daughter hasone in her class. Go with Evan or Angel
Reply:That is definitely a guys name... Angle is though.
Reply:Would you like to have grown up with that name??
Reply:i do like heaven but maybe u should just go with even

I am 6 months pregnant and need help on a boys name?

My husband and I can not agree on a name. He would like to name him Orin I not sure if I like it but its ok. I thought of the name carson or Karson and he is not sure if he likes it but thinks it is ok. What are your oppinions? Or is there another name that you can think maybe we have not thought of it yet.

I am 6 months pregnant and need help on a boys name?
Well, I've only ever seen it spelled Oren. I'm not in love with it at all. Carson sounds a lot better! I'd definitely NOT spell it with a K. It's just a big headache every time you need someone to fill out forms. I vote for Carson. Nice job!
Reply:I don't like Orin, out of those I would go with Carson (Not Karson, the K makes it look more feminine and trendy).

Bah don't listen to some of the opinions it is an excellent name. It is no more different then a name such as Dash or names like that. I think it actually sounds really neat and interesting and it makes me wonder why more people haven't chosen that name!

Good choice I say!

What do you think of the name Knight for a boys middle name?
I like it, actually. I picture him being very noble. A true gentleman.
Reply:What the hell, thats a waaay cool name!!!

Seriously thats going into my list of favourite names =)

Don't listen to everyone else, thats a good name.
Reply:I thought about using that because there was a very special man in our lives that passed away last year and his last name was Knight. I like using names that have meaning. So if it has a good meaning, I like it! Whats the first name though?
Reply:What's he going to do? Slay dragons and rescue maidens all his life?
Reply:I LOVE IT!! It is very strong, masculine, and unique. Strong 1 syllable middle names sound great.
Reply:jordan knight just like the new kids on the block guy.. sound more like a last name to me.
Reply:It ok.
Reply:I think it's kinda cool. Especially if it's a family name.
Reply:I think it's adorable!! how cute!! i would have never thought of something like that!!
Reply:If it were a family name then it might be ok, but I personally don't care much for it. Sorry.
Reply:My advice to you is simply sound it out with the first name and last to see if it rolls off the tongue nicely...for example...Michael Knight Rider.....would sound nice....Knight is cool in my book...good luck.
Reply:Sounds like a lot to live up to. What if he grows up feeling like he never measured up?
Reply:Sorry, but I don't like it!
Reply:umm knight?? what kind of name is knight?
Reply:ewww not unless you are a big fan of the brady bunch and wanted to name him after Christopher Knight.
Reply:It will make him popular in the schoolyard.(for ridicule)
Reply:depends on the first and last name....make sure the initials don't spell anything bad...my friend named her son Andrew Steven Sing....notice that the initials spell a.s.s...lol
Reply:I love it! Sounds very strong.....
Reply:No way!

What's his first name?

How bout Allen for a middle name?

I don't know his first name but I could help!
Reply:I like it as a middle name only. I think you can get away with using a more unusual name in the middle name spot! Knight is different, but not TOTALLY out there.
Reply:Sorry , but it is pretentious in my opinion.....
Reply:If its a middle name then who cares. He probably would never use it.

Reply:doesnt everyone want an unusual name these days?

Tired of trendy names? Are you looking for some unique baby boy names to help your little one stand out from all the Aidens and the Jacobs? Here are some cool and unusual names for baby boys that haven't cracked the Top 100 list. Watch out, though-- these undiscovered gems might be popular names in the making!

Asher. This beautiful and uncommon Biblical name means "happy, lucky, or blessed" in Hebrew. If you like Biblical names, it's a great alternative to trendy names like Joshua and Jacob. But be careful: Asher seems like a name that could catch on at any minute, since it reflects a number of popular name trends. It's a last name, it's Biblical, and it's similar to trendy names like Ashton and Ashley.

Ezra. Ezra is a simple but distinctive name that means "assistance" in Hebrew. Like Asher, Ezra is a great alternative if you like Biblical names but don't want to choose a trendy one.

Quinn. Here's a distinctive and underused Irish name that means "wise leader' in Gaelic. Quinn might hit the trendy name circuit soon, since it's a last name and it's Irish. For now, thought, Quinn is quite the undiscovered gem.

Lyle. Lyle isn't even in the Top 1000 U.S. names, which is a mystery considering the popularity of Kyle. Perhaps the Lyle the Crocodile connection is holding Lyle back, which is a shame. Lyle is an old French name that means "the island."

Keegan. Keegan is one of those names that sounds like it would be uber-popular, but it's not. We may be seeing it at the top of the charts when people get sick of Caden. In the meantime, Keegan remains a relatively undiscovered gem. It's a Gaelic name that means "small flame."

Ari. Here's another terrific unusual Hebrew name alternative. Ari means "lion" in Hebrew, which is a pretty darned cute name for a little boy.

Nevin. Nevin is another gorgeous and uncommon name that may be destined for popularity once people get sick of Nathan and Evan. Nevin is a Croatian name of disputed meaning and origin.

Elliott. This solid and classic name is overlooked and due for a comeback. Despite everyone's love of E.T., the name Elliott doesn't get much use. Parents might consider it as an alternative to Elijah, which has become extremely trendy.

Need help with a baby boys name?

We are expecting and we have no idea whether it is a girl or boy. We have a girls name picked out (Taylor Anne Forbes) but we are really struggling with a boys name. My wife wants to name him Jonas, I am struggling to find any middle name that works well with it. Any ideas for middle names, or new combinations? I really think the middle name is the problem with my last name.

I like Jackson and Carter... I think

Also, feel free to comment on our girls name choice.

Reply:I like Jonas.

Not so keen on Jackson or Carter (I don't really like the trend of using surnames as first names! Also, Jackson is very popular/over-used at the moment, which turns me off it a bit).

I like Jonas Ethan...or Jonas Daniel.

I think that middle names should be simple and fairly 'normal'...particularly if the first name is a bit more unique or uncommon.

Good luck!
Reply:is your name Lucas ? you could name him
