Is it weird i'm giving my daughter a boys name?

I am having a baby girl,and I'm naming her Renesmee Anton. My friends think it's weird because Anton is a boys name.

i dont really like Renesmee, but its not that bad. i knew this girl named Rezmie, thats a cute name and Rezmie Anton flows well and you could spell it Resmee.





and dont listen to anyone. even if you did get it from a book, it doesnt matter at all. if you like the name then use it. i read a book and found a name it it that i love now.

Honestly, it's a really trashy name. She sounds like she belongs in a trailer park, mostly because it sounds like a twelve-year old came up with it. I can't believe Stephenie Meyer actually thought it was a good name.





Esme, Rene, anything but Renesmee would sound great lol. I love the sound of Esme Anton; the masculinity of Anton is perfect with the ultra-femininity of Esme.
Reply:I don't think it is weird but I think it is silly. Why give your daughter a boy name when there are tons of gorgeous girl names? I just don't get it. Everywhere I go there are tons of little girl all with boy names and it is getting annoying.

But name your child whatever you want no matter what people think, just remember she does have to have it her whole life so think it through. Not saying you picked a bad name or anything.

Anyways...it is really weird and super lame that you're naming your child after a character in a book. And it's a very obvious one at that.

Reply:Anton may be a boy name but as far as a middle name, there are no rules. For all anyone knows, it's a maiden name or ancestral name.
