Help needed please with boys first and middle name to go with surname?

Our son is due in July and we're pulling our hair out trying to find a boys first and middle name that goes with our surname of Rowntree. We also have a daughter Heidi Marie. Most names we have tried sound too much of a mouthful...any help will be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Help needed please with boys first and middle name to go with surname?
Hi,

For the first name you could have a name like;

(something not to common)

* Alex

* Jacob

* Nathan

* Callum

* Jaden

Then for the middle name I think that you should called it after his dad or another family member ?

Good Luck on finding that name and congratulations !
Reply:First, Heidi is such a cute name! I haven't heard it in awhile.

For her brother, what about Drake Edward Rowntree, Finnegan / Finley Andrew Rowntree, Samuel Kent Rowntree, Charles David Rowntree, Edmund Allen Rowntree, Alexander Kent Rowntree, Thomas Max Rowntree, Jude Andrew Rowntree, James Paul (JP) Rowntree, Jack Damian (JD) Rowntree, Wesley Vance Rowntree, Nicholas Drew Rowntree, etc.

Try http://nymbler.com/ for more names based on ones you already like.

And even if you think the name sounds like a mouthful now, try thinking of what you'd call him in everyday life. A James Christopher Rowntree seems pretty long now, but he'd probably end up being a Jamie Rowntree growing up, which isn't at all too stuffy or long lol. Same goes for something like Edmund Alexander Rowntree - he'd just go with Ed Rowntree, or something like that lol.

Good luck and congrats!!

For a middle name, I like the idea of using a relative in the family whose name you particularly like, first name or middle name. But a good idea would be to make it from the fathers side, as this would even have the right surname so it would suit already.
Reply:What a wonderful surname!

How about some of these, you could mix %26amp; match which names you like!

James (supplanter)

Lucas (light)

Max (the greatest)

Aaron (mountain)

Harry (home ruler)

Samuel (his name is God)

Anthony (not sure of meaning)

Benjamin (son)

Good Luck :-)

Reply:Ethan James or James Ethan! Ethan or Ike, Ike William Rowntree - sounds good to me! I WILL one day persuade someone to call their son Ike! I allowed family to talk me out of it - it's a good solid no nonsense name!........no one can shorten it either!

Reply:I would suggest a one-syllable first name and two-syllable middle name like, John Wyatt or Luke Michael, so then it wouldn't over over power the last name. Good luck :)
Reply:Kole David Rowntree

Brady Michael Rowntree

I'd say pick something simple for the first name, like you did w/ your daughter's name "Heidi." That way the whole name isn't overwhelming.

Harry Lee Rowntree

Congratulations and good luck x
Reply:I'm not going to suggest names as there are far too many, but I would say the first name needs two syllables to balance the Rowntree, like you have done with Heidi.

Two sylables in the first name and one in the middle name seems to work here.
