Is Dallas a girls name or a boys name?
Girl
Reply:Most commonly, I've heard it for boys.
Reply:pa...leeeeeease, you are worried about gender specific names? what century were you born in? teach your child the history behind his/her name and why they should be proud of the moniker...and then let it be. If the history is simply"Hey, I liked the name", well then that's it and let it be.
Reply:neither...its the name of a city.....plus names can be anything... so it is both........please tell me someone as oblivious as you is having a child
Reply:boy
Reply:Boy's name
Reply:I have a cousin whose name Dallas...and my cousin is a male. I think it sounds like a boy's name!
Reply:I work with a Dallas who is a guy, and I know a little boy named Dallas.
Reply:Yes.
Reply:Girl
Reply:I've known a few boys named Dallas, and no girls. So, I'd say boy.
Reply:girl
Reply:My hubby's middle name is Dallas. He was named after his Grandfather.

I also know a girl called Dallas - it is her given name. I know you said do not say both but how can I not when I know both a man and woman with this name. So, sorry to say, it IS both a boys and girls name.
Reply:I think originally it was a surname, then, like many surnames, was used as a boy's name. The story is that the man that founded the city named it after his friend (at least thats what I always heard), though has gained some popularity as a girl's name.
Reply:Dallas sucks. The Washington Redskins will sweep them this year.
