What is a good boys name.I will soon be giving birth ?

I am a single mother and wonder if I should name him after his father.We dont date by the way.

Name him after your father if he was a good man,or name it after me if he was not. That would be "Brad"
Reply:I have two sons and they both have different dads. Both have their dads middle names as middle names. I don't like Jr's or the 3rd's just think that children need their own Identity. My 24 year old's name is Christopher Evans and my 11 year old is Ryan Charles. If he is going to be active in your sons life then you can also name him after him whether it be the first name as a middle name or the middle name as a first name. Just a bit of advice though. Not sure if you were going to give the baby the daddys last name but I didn't. I ended up raising him myself after 2 years and was happy that we had the same last name.
Reply:What about Archie :) I heard it on telly tonight and will be adding it to my list... Don't know what the father is called so couldn't tell you if it's a good name or not, but either way wait until you have looked him in the eye, then you will know for sure:)
Reply:I think you should name the baby what you want to name him. If you get along with the father and have a good friendship now and know that he will play an active part in your childs life then go for it. Its totally up to you =)
Reply:I don't agree with the whole ' the child should be named after a relative - it's good for them to have their own identity from the start, if you think different, how about using the fathers name as a middle name ???
