What do you think of the name Elliott Grace for a girl? Do you think of Elliott as a boys name?

I do think of Elliot as more of a boys name but I have to say that I have just fallen in love with 'Elliot Grace' for a girl! It is cute and sassy and suitable for an child or adult. Ellie makes a great nickname or alternative name if she decides she doesn't like it.





I think it is one of those borderline names - technically a boy's name but feminine enough to pass as a girls name. There are lots of names that have passed from the male to female lists because someone was brave enough to use it (Cameron, Ashley, Jody, Shannon, Sacha, Tyler to name a few.)

What do you think of the name Elliott Grace for a girl? Do you think of Elliott as a boys name?
Elliott was a movie about a boy from a working-class family that loved dancing ballet. I don't think his friends thought it was much of a boys name!

I bet she would hate Elliot as a first name as the kids in school would make fun of her just because she'd have what is considered a boy's name.


I have a son whose middle name is Gene and he hates it because when spoken it sounds like a girl's name to him.

My cousin named her baby Erin Grace. She's the cutest thing!





If people name their kids Apple, Pilot and Jermajesty, naming a girl Elliot wouldn't be any weird!
