My name is Makiah and it IS a GIRLS name.


it is NOT a variant of anyyyy of the names discussed in this topic.


and it is pronounced mUH k EYE UH


uh as in the nervous habit sound. eye as in the thing you see out of.

Reply:I think its a cool name. Im South African and one of my best friends is called Makhaya. He's actually become a famous international cricketer right now. Anyways I think the way he spells his name is cool or the the name with the single Y looks better because the YY one will confuse people and then they wont say the name correctly.

Edited to add: Micaiah is a real, biblical name that has withstood the test of time. Makiah and Mykiah look like an illiterate person was trying to spell Micaiah.

Reply:Mikeyah might sound more masculine i am not sure but I think Mykiah is quite nice and I think it is masculine. He can be nicknamed Myke!





I also like the name Malakye/ Malachi it is a unisex name ...
