What are your thoughts on 'Titus James' as a boys name?

your thoughts?

*I am not considering this as a name for MY child, I am curious as I saw it online!

What are your thoughts on 'Titus James' as a boys name?
its ok.....i know a boy named titus
Reply:While it's an unusual name, surely his going to be called 'Tit' for short as he grows up and for that reason, I wouldn't consider using that name for a child.

He'd be the brunt of most jokes and I can't see how that's fair to put him through that.

I know of someone who works at a registry office and a couple came in the register their sons name which was Drew. Their surname was Peacock. You guess the rest...
Reply:It IS an unusual name, but I think that the child would endure lots of "ribbing" as it sounds like something from the Greek history books. Some folk believe that calling their child an unusual name is a bonus. Put yourself in the kiddie's place and imagine what sort of reception you would get from your peers!!! Sometimes, a more common name can be a bonus....
Reply:Just think of the nickname he would get etc; titus a ducks

a s s, titus scrooge etc; It is a really old fashioned name. The only other that I know of was Titus Salt who built a factory and a village for his workers, later to be called Saltaire, it's near Bradford.
Reply:James's fine but Titus is a bit unusual, and as someone said the child is quite likely to be bullied. It is an alright name, it's just not particularly suited to modern times.
Reply:Sounds too medieval. Definitely not something I would even consider for a name. On the other hand, it is unqiue and I don't anyone with this name so if someone out there wants something unique, they found it right here.
Reply:I love the name Titus and James goes well with it. I have heard the "teasable" comments when I mentioned it before, but I don't think that is a given.
Reply:NO,no, no. children can be cruel. James is fine, but Titus?

Think of 'tight as a tick' and 'tight as a gnat's chuff".
Reply:I quite like Titus actually - but James not so much. I steer clear of all boys with names beginning with 'J' they are heartbreakers :) x
Reply:It sounds very antiquated and would fit for it's time period but today would expose a child to constant harassment
Reply:well james is a cool middle name as its the same one i have ho ho but Titus please why on earth would anyone call their child this, a name to go into room 101
Reply:Definitley give your child this name.
Reply:Be bullied bad.

Titus? You have no idea how many tit jokes could be made from that.
Reply:Ridiculous.
Reply:I dont like it but i agree with the second poster he would be a football player, lol - i like James just not Titus
Reply:Titus is not a great name for a child of today.

It doesn't have a great history either!
Reply:James is a nice name, I've not keen on Titus
Reply:I think Titus would be changed to tight ar*e in school so just stick to james
Reply:James is kind of cute, but Titus sounds WAY too much like ****
Reply:Titus sounds just fine
Reply:he sounds like a football player... a good player
Reply:to be honest Titus just makes me think of boobs!! lol
Reply:That kid would be bullied!!!
Reply:Urgh I hate it!!
