What do you think of this boys name?

My cousin's girlfriend had a son and they called him Oakley. Have you heard of this name before? What do you think of it?

What do you think of this boys name?
I think it's a very good strong name, very unusual. Reminds me of the big strong oak. Yes, I like it.

Reply:hellllllllllll no
Reply:i know alot of ppl who have Oakley as their last name but haven't heard of it used as a first name. It's original thats for sure.
Reply:Makes me think of sunglasses. After that it makes me think of oak trees, which is what it means "meadow of oak trees".

Believe it or not it made the top 1000 us names back in the 1910's :-)
Reply:I'm not too crazy about. I think of Annie Oakley. Will his friends call him Oak? Oak-ster? The Oak-man? Nope, don't like it. Now I'm trying to think of a better tree name. Pine? Hickory?
Reply:that's brand of sunglasses lol

Reply:Heard it as a last name never a first
Reply:Yes i like it, its a strong unusual name, never heard of anyone else calling there child it
Reply:I like it but it kinda reminds me of the sunglasses hahah! But its different and i love unique names
Reply:I've heard it before. I went to school with a girl named Oakley. So obviously I think of it as a girls name, but it works for a boy too.
Reply:Reminds me of sunglasses.
Reply:Those are sunglasses, and now in this case, some poor kids name.
Reply:It makes me think of sunglasses. I would call him "Oakley the Oak Tree," or "Oakey Dokey Oakley." But thats just me ;)

I know a lady whose brother's middle name is Oak. Apparently he was born under..........you guessed it, an oak tree.

Oakey Dokey
Reply:I've heard it before, not very often though. It's an ok name. Not one I'd use personally but not horrible either.
Reply:I have not heard of Oakley but I have heard of Oakey it was my grandpas name! I really dont like it but its unusal!
Reply:i've never heard of it before, and i'm not sure i'm a fan.

oakley is a brand of sunglasses.
Reply:I didnt like it at first...but the more I said it to myself the more I liked it
Reply:i've never heard it before..i like it
Reply:Reminds me of a food. Its unique though.
Reply:It's rubbish, they should change it to RayBan
Reply:a good name if your cousin girlfriend want their son to play fooball or rugby.put the boy name ashraff ryan and call him 'ASH' JUST IF YOU WERE MUSLIM.
Reply:Oakley, I think means "From the oak field". I have rarely heard it except when people talk of a brand of sunglasses. But it is nice, and manly as well. However, be warned that the kids at school won't nickname the boy "Oak" or "Okey" Might be a bit of a blow to his ego.
Reply:Now thats a name i never heard of before. I'm all for uncommon names, but thats a little odd.
Reply:Never, but I'm not a big fan of it so far.
Reply:oakley?? that's brand of sunglasses lol

i think that name is too commercial and unsuitable for human :)
