Me and my Husband CAN'T decide on a boys name for our unborn son. Help! ?

I like Jackson, Gavin or Christian. He's afraid they will call him Jack or Chris. The ONLY name he likes is Aiden but I have friends with kids that name. Beides I think it's to common.

Reply:You could spell it "Jaxon," which could help eliminate the nickname of Jack... but then it could be "Jax." Christian will definitely become Chris. Perhaps something else will hit you when he's born - when you meet him, and you could use Aiden for a middle name! Congrats.

Reply:Aiden is a little too common. I absolutely love the name Jackson and if you don't nick name him Jack, no one else will. Growing up he may have a few people call him Jack here and there but he'll just correct them and said he prefers Jackson. I have a guy friend named Michael and he will not go by Mike and hardly no one calls him Mike. :) Good luck!

Reply:He has to like something besides Aiden and when he choses something else you can have your as the first or the middle name and his vise versa.

Jaxon is becoming really "trendy" . I like Jackson a lot better than that though. Gavin is very cute, and theres no obvious nickname for it. What about Gavin Aiden? (its not a great combo, but its a good compromise). I also like Wesley, and Kellen.

Reply:I love Jackson and Christian. Don't worry about nicknames cropping up. My son is Patrick and we were afraid people would call him Pat. He just tells people his name is Patrick and so do we. He is nine years old now and has never been called Pat. I agree about Aiden. I also love the name Hunter for a boy. Congratulations on your upcoming event and I hope you have a healthy happy boy no matter what you decide to name him.

Reply:My husbands name is Christian and everyone calls him Christian. I have only heard one person refer to him as Chris. If you don't want a nickname, introduce the baby as his full name and correct anyone who tries to use a nickname. All my husbands cousins are also called by their full names.

Reply:I LOVE Christian. It's a wonderful name and i personally think you should name him that. If you only ever introduce him as christian and he doesn't call himself anything but christian, it shouldn't even be a problem.
