I need help brainstorming names for a story I'm attempting to write.

What is your favorite name for both boys and girls?
For a boy, I like Andrew.


For a girl, I like Elizabeth.





They just sound so...proper. haha

Reply:nothing kills a book more than bad names so go for a not so used named but not a really weird name like sundance or moonstar wateva


girls- Nelly, Janie, Marley, Stevie, Mai, Rosaline, Juliet, Tilly, Dylan, Ryhann, Josie, Faye, Summer, Lola, Layla, Lilly


boys with boys you can go for the more used names like


Jack, Jake, Chris coz they sound cool


but more unusual names work too


Harley, Duke, E.J, Jai, Cal, Randy, Brad, also Marley and dylan
Reply:Do you mean a single name that can work for both genders? If so, my vote goes for Jess (Jesse can be either gender, and Jess is short for Jesse (male/female) and Jessica (female)). I like it because it's short, it has a bit of personality about it, and it's not trendy like Taylor or Hunter or Langford or something straight-from-The-Hills like that.

I think that is a pretty original name. :-)





Oh, and you could have a last name be "Gifford" and have people call him/her "Giff" (I know a guy called 'Giff')





Another Boys name I like is "Callahan" and again, he is my friend; he is called "Cal"
