Is Jayden a boys name or a girls name? 10 points best answer! ?

Do you think Jayden is a name for a boy or a girl, I'm really curious to your answers please?

Is Jayden a boys name or a girls name? 10 points best answer! ?
I know of three Jaydens. My wife is a daycare teacher. All three Jaydens are boys. My opinion is that it is a boy's name, although it is becoming more and more common to use names that are typically gender-specific and use them for the opposite gender. For example, I know a woman whose name is Ryan. I also know another young lady whose name is Shawn. It is usually less common to use typically-feminine names for boys, although I do have a buddy named Shannon.

I asked several of my overseas buddies and they all agree that Jayden would be a better boy-name (it can be shortened to Jay) while Hayden would be more appropriate for a girl.

I hope this helps.
Reply:Jayden is a unisex name

I would not use it for a girl

It way to common as a boys anmd

Jayden was rank 18 last year in the top 1000 boys name

Jaden was rank 76 last year in the top 1000 boys name

Jaiden was rank 191 last year in the top 1000 boys name

That is only spellings of the name

I would not name a child a name in the top 100 of the other sex

Jayden is in the top 1000 boys name twice

Jayden is way to common of a boys name for a girl

I like Jaelyn for a girl
Reply:Such a pretty name. Will Smith's son's name is Jayden, yet Jayden would be a lovely name for a girl.

I'd say it's unisex, just like Hayden.

Take Hayden Panettiere and Hayden Christiansen, for instance.
Reply:I believe it can be used for either a boy or girl. If you spell it Jayden I would say a boy and if you spell it Jadyn or Jaiden then I would say a girl.
Reply:My son's name is Jayden. In Australia it is a boy's name. My son is 11, and when I named him it was not a common name at all - it wasn't even in the baby name books we had!! It is much more common now.
Reply:its both a boy and a girl name. i know a little girl with that name. but i also have a male cousin with the name Jayden.
Reply:im guessing its unisex. i thought it was just a boys name until my daughter had a girl in her class this year named "jhaydin" i thought it was weird and a dumb spelling..but what are u going to say lol
Reply:When l hear it, l think of a boy. My cousin's wife had twins 1 boy and 1 girl. His name is Jayden and her name is Teagan. l see could see it going both ways though.
Reply:Boy... I only cause the first time I heard the name they were referring to Will Smith's son. So, It stuck in my head as a boy's name. Honestly, I do know more girls than boys with that name though!
Reply:It is a unisex name. I know both men and women with the name. Personally I would change the spelling depending on the gender of the baby.
Reply:Either! :)

I babysit a little boy but his is spelled Jaden.

Beautiful name though:D
Reply:I like it better for a boy. My friend named her daughter Jaiden, she didnt like the Jay part thought putting jai would make it more femme.
Reply:I think Jayden can be for both but it sounds more masculine than feminine to me. I think Jade or Jada is better suited for a girl.
Reply:I know of four boy whose names are jayden. I cannot think of any girl jaydens, so I would have to say boy.
Reply:Either. I know a boy and a girl with that name.

Personally, I think it fits better for a boy.
Reply:I think it's both, but I think it's a boy name.
Reply:It really goes both ways, but i think it is more boyish... Jaydrian is more girly, of course
Reply:I think it could be either, but I personally like it better for a girl.
Reply:*I* think it's a boy name.

Reply:i've heared it for boys
Reply:can be both, i know a chick named jayden tho
