What do you think of the boys name Ferris?
Oooh, I kind of love it.





Ferris brings to mind, of course, Days Off. Not a bad reference, as Ferris Bueller is a thoroughly charming character. And it has a nice elemental/nature vibe - it's derived from a Greek word for stone. Plus, there's a jaunty Celtic feel to Ferris.





And Joseph and Edward are such strong middle names to anchor your slightly unusual first name choice.





I'd use it without hesitation!

Reply:It sounds like a very strong important name but, the first thing to my mind was Ferris Buehlers Day Off!! Also kids are cruel, I hope they don't call him Ferry Boy, that would be very disturbing=(

Reply:I like it, probably because I thought Ferris Buehler was a babe! I don't think he'd get made fun of, especially if you live in an urban area where people are accustomed to hearing all kinds of names. Plus names much stranger than Ferris seem to be the norm these days. It might be a bit much if you live in a rural town like me, where every girl is named Madison and every boy is named Tyler. I, however, happen to like it!

Joseph Edward De Witt would be a nice name.
Reply:I don't particularly care for Ferris...the only Ferris I've met was a girl and she was not very nice.
